Quick-Start Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Planner
- Start with the Overview tab. This gives you a bird’s-eye view of your monthly income vs. expenses before you dive into the details.
- Use the 182-Day Tracker to protect your residency status. Log every date you cross a border or leave your home province so you always know exactly how many days you’ve spent outside your province or outside the country — critical for staying compliant with residency and health coverage rules.
- Customize your categories. Every RV lifestyle is different — rename or add categories that fit your actual spending (boondocking supplies, pet care, tolls, etc.).
- Set a weekly “money date.” Spend 10–15 minutes each week reviewing your numbers so nothing sneaks up on you.
- Save a master copy. Before you start entering data, save a blank duplicate of the file somewhere safe so you can always start fresh for a new trip or year.
